# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It takes about ten minutes total, which means you can pull this together for guests without any actual cooking or stress.
  • The contrast between the smooth, melting sorbet and the fizzy sparkling water creates this perfect texture play that keeps surprising you with each sip.
  • It tastes fancy enough to impress people but honestly requires nothing more than opening bottles and scooping.
02 -
  • If your sorbet melts before you even pour the Limoncello, your glasses weren't cold enough—this is the one thing that actually matters because warm sorbet just becomes sweet lemon juice, which isn't the same experience at all.
  • The sparkling water should be ice-cold too, straight from the fridge, not sitting at room temperature, otherwise you're diluting the whole thing with warmth.
03 -
  • Warm your ice cream scoop under hot water before scooping so the sorbet releases cleanly instead of getting stuck and torn.
  • Use a tall enough glass that the sparkling water doesn't overflow when you pour—a small rocks glass makes this precarious, but a proper drinking glass handles the fizz gracefully.
