Watermelon Mint Frosé Mocktail (Printable)

Bright frozen watermelon and mint slush with pink grape notes and fresh lime—vegan, gluten-free, ideal for hot days.

# What You Need:

→ Fruit

01 - 4 cups seedless watermelon, cut into 1-inch cubes and frozen
02 - 1 cup strawberries, hulled and frozen

→ Liquids

03 - 1 cup non-alcoholic rosé or pink grape juice, chilled
04 - 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

→ Fresh Herbs

05 - 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, plus extra for garnish

→ Sweetener (optional)

06 - 1 to 2 tablespoons agave syrup or honey, optional, to taste

# Directions:

01 - Cut watermelon into 1-inch cubes and hull strawberries. Arrange fruit in a single layer on a sheet pan and freeze until solid, at least 4 hours or overnight.
02 - Place frozen watermelon, frozen strawberries, chilled non-alcoholic rosé or pink grape juice, fresh lime juice and mint leaves into a high-speed blender. Add the chosen sweetener if using.
03 - Pulse to break up the fruit, then blend on medium-high until smooth and slushy. If the mixture is too thick to process, add additional chilled juice 1 tablespoon at a time until it moves freely.
04 - Taste and adjust sweetness with additional sweetener or a splash of lime as desired, then briefly reblend to incorporate adjustments.
05 - Divide the slushy among chilled glasses, garnish with mint leaves, and serve immediately for best texture.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • No one ever guesses it's alcohol-free—every sip feels like a secret treat for grown-ups and kids alike.
  • The blend of watermelon, mint, and citrus never fails to wake up your tastebuds and look stunning in a glass.
02 -
  • If you skip freezing the fruit, you'll end up with a watery juice instead of a lush frosé—there's simply no shortcut here.
  • A pinch of salt (just a pinch!) magnifies the sweetness and makes all the flavors spring to life, which I discovered after a couple of flat-tasting sips.
03 -
  • I learned to use slightly underripe watermelon for a better slush consistency—it’s less likely to turn watery.
  • Blending in a few extra mint leaves at the last second keeps the finished drink sharply fresh.
